Crusader

First an article to whip out if someone starts saying how bad smoking bans are for the economy. Turns out Ottawa was mid-slump when the 2001 bylaw hit.
The economic impact of a smoke-free bylaw on restaurant and bar sales in Ottawa, Canada

Second, I bought a funky teapot with two matching teacups on the weekend at a garage sale. Finally got around to washing them last night, and you know what? They fucking stunk. Stunk the unholy stink of old smoke. And they were coated in a thick gummy black goo. Nicotine and tar from being in a house with a smoker. Even after washing and scrubbing, they still smell a bit. I’m going to have to bleach them. If that doesn’t work, I’m throwing them out, no matter how funky they are. Disgusting.
